Hi all, this bass is gorgeous! I got it from Chicago Music Exchange a few years ago and used it quite a bit w/ my band. I've recently decided to slim my collection down a bit and, while I don't need to sell this beauty, I'd like to see it get more playing time. It's 35" scale and sounds MONSTROUS. Apart from normal wear on the back from about a year of play, it's in fantastic shape. The one damage spot is a cymbal dent I filled in w/ brown filler (and honestly can't tell from a distance at all), and a relocated strap pin, which I pictured as well. Wow! That’s a looker for sure. My Thunderclapper is a full-on stealth version. Sacha makes a great bass - mine is super stable and has tone for days. Wish I could add another, but the barn is full and I have a Nordy Acinonyx on the way.

Turnaround on a new Dunable was something like 6 months last time I checked. Someone should buy this now...

I have two custom Dunables. I literally sold almost all of my other fancy gear once I had them. First one was 6-months, then when they got bigger, it was over a year wait. Awesome instruments for sure.

Beautiful bass, man! I've been wanting to check out a Dunable. I'm not sure if I could do 35" though.


I had a similar experience with Muckelroy and selling most of the gear I had prior.

For a long time all Dunables were 35". They just started w/ 34" scales the past year or two I think. Either way, killer basses (and guitars)!

FWIW, the transition to the 35” scale is pretty straightforward. Took about two days for me to sort it out. First couple positions are a bit of a stretch, but that actually helps me keep from cramping up. Don’t let the scale length put you off. You want this bass. The fact that’s it’s been well-loved and bears a few battle scars does not detract from its awesomeness... Dunable makes great tools for the working musician. Like this:

That is a nearly PERFECT bass for what I am "looking for" now. As in I don't need another bass, but this checks all the boxes. Black Korina is my favorite body wood. Perfect tonal wood, to me. I see zero downsides to this bass other than I can't afford it now.
