This is a great DB &Guitar Preamp. I've only used it on a handful of gigs. It's stayed in a smoke free home and inside the box when not in use. The EDB-2 has several features that are not available on the hew Headway EDB-2 H.E. Most notable, are two three way impedance loading switches, for each channel. This allows you to set the impedance of either input at 1, 5, or 20 Meg Ohms to suit your piezo pickup. Also not on the EDB-2 H.E. is a standby position on the A.C. power switch and a EQ bypass switch that can be applied to either channel for doubling.
