Up for sale is a closet queen Hamer USA Custom Shop Standard Flametop Bass 59 Burst. I purchased this bass August 9, 2013 off of eBay. Most of the time I have owned this bass it has been in the case but I did play it from time to time and it is AWESOME. I search all over this bass and cannot find any type of ware on it. This bass is in the same condition as when I purchased it so I will say it is in almost mint there does seem to be some marks on the neck pickup at the bottom of the pickup. The case is in great condition with a little ware on it the photos show the ware. Well folks this monster sounds and plays great and I feel it sounds as good as it looks. I am not sure of the Year this was built the is the serial # 855814 made in the USA! I tried to find out but it got to confusing with all the Hamer sites. Here is the description that the previous seller used when it was put up for sale:

Hamer Custom Shop Standard Flametop Bass 59 Burst

This custom bass includes elegant touches like Italian cellulose ivoroid binding, ivory string nut and pearl inlays. The headstock logo is inlaid shell also. The Standard series is a landmark design for Hamer, and remains one of the most popular basses in their line. Includes a hard-shell case.

I never thought that I would ever sell this bass or the ones I will be putting up for sale but I have been diagnosed with dupuytren's disease which causes trigger finger and then your fingers to curl and you are unable to straight them out. I have been treated with the injections but only got temporary relief. Most likely will have to have surgery on both hands and it may not correct it. I will be putting more basses up for sale due to this condition as I am losing my ability to play. If you have any questions at all or want to make an offer, please open up a private conversation with me rather than posting questions/offers here in the thread. Thanks for looking! The photos show the condition of this instrument. Shipping (FedEx) is included in the asking price and please NO TRADES. PayPal only for payment and I ship in the U.S. (Lower 48) only.

Very nice! FWIW I had their USA Standard Custom (guitar) cousin of that some years ago. Hamer made great stuff.

Praying that there is a solution to your physical affliction that will allow you to play again.

Beautiful! I remember this one... didn't realize it was chambered, either.

This one is especially unique in that it has one of the early headstock shapes (atypical of any builds I've come across in that era of Hamer).

Can't speak highly enough of Hamer's builds. I have a few, and they are some of the best basses I own.
