This is a beautiful bass with great tone. My failing hands and low talent level just can't do it justice. Since I'm retiring from playing on the regular, this (and some other great gear) is going up on the block.

This does have some dings on the headstock, in the cutout on the back, on the lower edge of the fingerboard. They do not affect the playability at all.

Here are some pics from the sale I bought it from last year, more can be taken by request.

Excellent basses. I own a 5er. Mike Tobias had part in this design.

I had one for awhile. It was the best sounding bass I've ever had but the neck was too wide for me. I'd love to find something that sounded like one of these with a smaller neck. GLWS.

One of the best basses you'll ever play! not a lot of people know about the Genesis necks, but those who do...
Unreal quality and awesome price. I'm not sure if many people would agree with that, but the Genesis 5 is basically on the same tier with any luxury bass in the 6-8 grand price range. Super rare too, since those ones that are a collab with MTD are not being built anymore. I own one, otherwise I'd be all over this axe as soon as it hit the market!
Whoever gets it (especially if comfortable with the 35'' scale) will be enjoying an amazing instrument!

Had a sunburst one of these for a while with a chechen fingerboard and it's one of the few "that got away". The design really speaks volumes; such a cohesive instrument. If I were needing a 35" scale 5-string...this would be it.

My guess is the switches were added later. It was in this configuration when I bought it.

These shipped with Bartolini 3-band preamp. I have one stock.
They also came with 2 band ones- Modulus used to charge extra for the 3 band upgrade.

These are nice basses, you can see how the shape evolved into the MTD Saratogas.
