What we’ve got here is a 2019 build, DNA800 amp designed by David Nordschow of Eden fame and assembled right here in the USA. Many of you here are familiar with David’s work, including DNA, his newest endeavor after leaving Eden. Below you’ll find a description of this amp from the DNA website. Before you get there know that this one is cosmetically excellent, works as it should and will come to you in its factory packaging if you wisely choose to purchase it.

Note that this will come with power cord, but not with a footswitch.

I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have on this gem.

“We’re proud to announce the release and immediate shipment of our new DNA-800 compact bass amplifier. The little brother of our DNA-1350 is only 12″-10″ and 1-1/2 rack spaces tall. Don’t be fooled by its small size and 4.8 lb. weight; this little monster packs 800 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms. It also retains most of the features of the DNA-1350 at a very affordable price point.

Other features Include: Great tone, superb build quality, very low noise operation, a studio-worthy compressor with both Threshold and Ratio controls, and a bypass switch. A musically well centered 4-band tone control set allows for great tonal expression. The Shape control is a single control tone-scape adjustment that lets you dial in that perfect tone for the studio.

The rear panel includes: Stereo Aux Input, Effects loop, Rear panel Input, Slave Out, DI Level XLR with Pre/Post select. The dual-channel foot switch controls both Shape and Tone bypass functions.

This is a full featured professional level Bass Amplifier with easy to operate ergonomic controls, and all the tone and power you’ve come to expect from a David Nordschow design.] You’ll wonder how you ever got along with one!

I don’t see an input for headphones on the back panel, but I admit I’m not super knowledgeable about amps that aren’t combos either... lol!!

edit: reading the manual on the DNA website, it looks like I’d need to buy a separate preamp to plug in to the slave port to do the headphone thing, if I’m reading it correctly.

You’re correct about no headphone jack. Pretty sure the slave input doesn’t work like you’re reading it.

Yeah, like I said, if it’s not entry level stuff, I’m not really up to speed on how to hook everything up. I need a headphone ready head for sure though, either through something like an Ashdown Tone Pocket or just an outright phone Jack on the back of of the amp.

I suppose you could use the tuner out, but it wouldn’t be very loud.
