Here would be the replacement cost:
Deep 5 $4100, custom scale $500, exhibition koa top $500, total cost new $5100, assuming his prices have definitely changed...this bass would easily be more money today if bought new!
Condition isn't mint, there's minor playing wear on the top and some light almost buckle or shirt button rash if you look very closely at the photos. Can't be seen from 3 feet away. The finish is so thin on these basses, it looks great for a bass of its age!
I recently cleaned this instrument up.
The piezo volume control was very dirty and has been cleaned. The bass has been setup for low action and plays comfortably.
