This is a 2016 Fender Elite Jazz I just purchased in April from Sam Ash as a new old stock floor model. It included the original case with keys, but did not include the case candy. I will ship in the original shipping carton.
GAS got the best of me, but after some unplanned home & personal expenses last month I've decided to sell this one before I get too attached.
This is a beautiful bass. There's even some flame visible in the maple neck and edge of headstock.
It's basically mint but since it's from a big box store, likely hanging out to be played, I'll be conservative and say it's in excellent condition. The front looks flawless, as does the neck. On the back of the body there are some light surface scratches and a few very tiny impressions (half an eraser sized maybe) that are not showing in pictures. You need the right angle to see them and you can feel them slightly. Short of that it's very minty. I set it up for low action with new D'Addario XL 45-105 strings. Plays easy and sounds fantastic.
Weighs 9.4 lbs on my bathroom scale. Feels very nicely balanced. Acoustically resonant with a strong tight singing note definition. Plugged in it's a beast. Preamp is hot and modern sounding. I really like the passive tone of these pickups and they're indeed noiseless.
Because I wasn't planning to flip this, I had removed the protective baggies from the tuners and the plastic insert over the controls, but the protective film is still on the pickguard and battery cover.
