If you are looking at these, you are aware that Phil discontinued both. I have no idea why, these are some of the best small cabs I have had the good fortune to play and gig through. I purchased the BG 300 for playing upright a few years ago, (hint, I haven't had that many upright gigs lol), and I bought the PB 300 to make a "medium" gig rig in tandem with the BG 300 for louder rock gigs.

This combo will absolutely surprise you at the volume it can produce. I've played it at Lakeside gigs and outdoor weddings with zero FOH support. Mind you, we were not trying to deafen anyone, but this rig holds it's own with a 3 piece, even outside. If you insist on bringing the pain, it has a line out for FOH support/punishment.

These exact combos sold 8 years ago for slightly less than my asking price, (1500) so let me explain why this setup is worth a few hundred more.

For starters, both combos are immaculate. I take really good care of my gear, and since you can not buy these new at any price, I would consider them "as new".

Take a look at the top of the PB 300. I ordered receivers for the feet of the BG 300 from Phil Jones himself, and professionally routed and flush mounted the receivers into the PB 300 to match the footprint of the BG 300. If you are familiar with Phil's larger cabs, this is a standard feature.

Top of the PB 300 with flush mount receivers:

Is it anal retentive? Yes. Have I seen another PB 300 done this way? No. I'm really confused as to why this was not a factory option considering the overall height of the two combos atop each other. The recessed cups make the rig WAY more stable than just sitting one combo atop the other and trying to square it up by eyeball.

For a local deal I will throw in the custom rack receiver I made for the top of the BG 300. It was made for my four space, but it should fit a variety of racks and or effects units. There is over 200 bucks worth of extruded anodized aluminum x bar and attachments in that thing, but if you can use it, and you are picking up in person, you can have it.

The slip covers are also included. They are not as pristine as the amps themselves, so they did their job keeping the amps scuff free and dust free in my climate controlled workspace.

Original power cables included. One power cable supplies the PB 300, then it has a female to male power cord for the BG 300.

Last disclaimers, I'm not interested in trades, I have WAY more than I need, which is why these are even up for grabs. I am somewhat firm in price, but I will politely listen to anyone interested and will politely decline lowball offers. I do not need to sell these cabs, but I have enjoyed them and would be happy to rehome them to someone who will get them out more often than I do.

On with the pics!

For those who want a "nekkid" pic. Honestly, this is the first time I have ever removed the grills for any purpose.

Last two pics are of the "x" bar rack/effects mount I made for this. Extremely stiff durometer one sided foam tape for the contact points, even with regular use you can not tell the rack was ever placed on top.

Looks to be much taller than 2 feet. Judging by the bass guitar sitting next to them, I would guess-timate at least 40”.

I did the same thing you did, I went to the links I provided and they are simply incorrect for the PB 300.

Jeff; I'm in Nashville and interested. Any chance you'd be willing to meet in, like, Crossville?

I sent you a PM motojojo.

For everyone else, yes, I am in Crossville very frequently. And as stated above somewhere, I am willing to do a little road trip to meet anyone halfway. I much prefer a couple of hours driving each way as opposed to overpaying for shipping charges and sweating bullets until it arrives safely at the destination.
