For sale is a an Aria Pro II RSB-600, made in Japan and in good condition. It’s all original (except two pickup screws - see below) and the pickup and switch/electronics work as they should. It sounds excellent!
This bass has the same tone as its more famous cousin, the SB-700 or R-60 series, but with the 4-in-line headstock. These basses are awesome. Well constructed and beautiful to look at. It can get those Cliff Burton or John Taylor tones!
Cosmetically it’s in good condition but there are some dings, chips in the finish, and dents on the bass, but nothing too bad for being 41 years old. The top of the headstock has some finish flaking.
I just had the bass setup (ABC Music in Salem) and the neck and truss rod checked out fine. I originally thought it was maxed but the tech got the neck nice and straight. It plays beautifully, with a low action! The tech I use does not hand out compliments easily but he said “this is a *really* nice bass” when he was done working on it. I wasn’t surprised since I know these basses so well, but they are still a sleeper to many out there.
I had to replace the treble side pickup screws as the original ferrules that anchored the screws into the wood became stripped. I simply filled the holes with wood filler and used slightly smaller screws but they are holding the pickups just fine. I will include the original screws and ferrules if you want to re-install them at some point.
I will include a gig bag with the bass. Shipping in the CONUS is included.
