Hi gang!

Here is a stunning Roscoe Century Custom 5J. It has an Exhibition Quilt Maple top and Mahogany body, which is finished in Antique Yellow with a high gloss finish. The neck is Roscoe's highly-regarded 35” scale Maple-Purple Heart-Maple laminate, with a Pau Ferro fingerboard. The Pickups are Aguilar 5J-HC, with an Aguilar OBP-1 active/passive preamp with "vintage tone control." It's currently strung with light gauge DR High Beams -- I'll also include the D'Addario nickel wound soft gauge RW strings that were on the bass when I bought it. The truss rod works fine, and action is set at my preferred radius of approx. 6/64th's (B) to 4/64th's (G).

I'm selling the bass for $2,295, shipped CONUS. It includes a Roscoe Hardshell Case that has a few small slits in the vinyl "end-caps" from contact with staples in the shipping box, but is otherwise in excellent condition.

Regarding the condition of the bass, it has a few very small marks at the bottom of the bass which appear to be indentations in the gloss finish. You'll see these marks on the attached pictures. Otherwise, the bass is in super-clean (but a little dusty) condition, which I believe the many attached photos will demonstrate. It was kind of challenging to keep glare under control when taking pics of the bass, so I took shots at several different angles. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the bass or its condition, or if you would like additional pictures.

Thanks!
Greg

Nobody makes a bass any prettier than Keith Roscoe. I don’t care what anyone else says.

Agreed! This bass plays as good as it looks! It’s nice and light at 8.7 lbs and the balance is excellent, due in part to the Century body style. For a 35” scale, the neck is very comfy, and the Roscoe B string response is clean, clear and totally balanced!

I’d love a 5 string jazz to back up my 5 string soapbar, but this isn’t a backup bass. It deserves primary status. And I don’t have $3K. I’ve always loved this bass from the first time it appeared on Greg’s site.

Hi all!

I've lowered the price of this beautiful bass, and there are a couple of trade options I'd consider:
I'm interested in trying a Ernie Ball Musicman 5 HH Bongo. Under 9 lbs and excellent condition.
I'd also consider a Sadowsky 5 string. Not a Modern, and also under 9 lbs and in excellent condition.

Thanks for looking!
Greg
Hey good sir would you be interested in my sadowsky MV5
