They easily vary from about 8 to about 11 pounds (that can make a big difference for many buyers). Nut width varies depending on the model, although I think the American P is 1.625".

I stand corrected, The Nut width is probably correct 1.625 I don't have a scale but its not not Obnormally Heavy and Not near as Light as My Brand New Sadowsky Satin J Bass which is 6.5 lbs

So I would say 8- 8.5 Lbs
