Thinning the herd. As cool as this bass is, and as much sentimental value as it has (I had it built as a 50th birthday present to myself) I just gravitate toward my Jazz basses.

This bass roars, like the proverbial Jazz bass on steroids. The angled pickups really tighten up the low end (as if the Roscoe B string wasn't deadly enough already!) On the bridge pickup with the mids boosted, it's just mean. Lots of other tones to be had. It balances great and feels more like a medium-scale bass.
The bass is in excellent +++ condition, basically flawless but it's been out of the house. Comes with the original gig bag, tools and instructions for changing strings.
Given the insane cost of shipping and having to find a box, I would greatly prefer a local-ish sale. I'm in Atlanta, can drive some distance to meet up if you're in GA, TN, SC, AL, etc.
This bass would cost $3,850 to build new today.
