Hey all, I recently picked up this bass in a... less sober state, and am now living with the consequences of my actions. I definitely don't need this so let's make it yours!

It's a 2005 or 2006 Mexican standard jazz in Blue Agave. There is a tiny bit of natural aging/yellowing, so it almost has a hint of sage color in certain light. The photos have been corrected to capture the color as honestly as possible.

Here's my quick summary of compliments and complaints:
  • Condition is fantastic for a 15 year old bass. 3 little nicks and a small spot of buckle rash (all pictured), but that's it. No fret wear to mention either, although they are a little dirty. There are tiny rust/pitting spots on the control plate and neck plate, nothing significant or damaging though. Neck pocket cracks are present, but are clear-coat only. Pretty normal for Fenders.

  • It has GraphTech Ratio tuners. I really dig these - the evenness of tuning is awesome, although I personally wouldn't pay $170 for them.

  • I shielded all the cavities with copper tape and replaced the original bridge with a new Fender MIM-series bridge, as the old one had some stripped screws. I also installed new Fender 45-105 rounds.

  • Weight is 9lbs 8oz. It seems to be more body-heavy, so it's pretty well balanced (for a Fender).
I'm asking $625 shipped (CONUS only) without hard case, or I can include a Guitar Research hard case for $650 shipped.

It is also available for pickup in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area for $575.

If y'all want any more pictures, have any questions, or anything else just shoot me a message or comment on this post and I'll be happy to help!

That's a really beautiful color. From the thumbnails it looks like sonic blue but when I look at the larger pictures, it seems to have more silver in it. Anyway, she's a sweet looking axe.

I have one in the same colour. It can go from looking very blue to very silver depending on the light, and the pickguard color can make a big change too!

I had a Strat in that color around that same time period. It definitely is an awesome color.

Looks to me like it's already got a shim in the neck pocket. Is the neck straight or does it maybe have an excessive amount of relief?

I put a piece of cardstock in there as a riser (not shimmed one direction or the other) to see if that helped the saddle issue, but it was negligible. Relief is set to my usual, about the thickness of a credit card at the 7th fret. I'm open to tips on correcting this if you have any!

I just saw that gap and wanted to understand what I was seeing. Your probably correct, just needs a shim. Maybe try putting that card only in the back of the pocket, not full length of the pocket. Wouldn't want to leave it that way for too long though. Full pocket shim is always the right answer. Beautiful bass!

The neck has been shimmed to resolve the saddle issue, and the bass has been set up again. This thing plays ridiculously well!
