For sale or trade Mesa Subway 800 $575.00 obro plus actual shipping costs. Looking to trade for a Darkglass M500 v1 or M900 v1 or Aguilar 350/500. This amp has been lightly used and comes with padded case, original box and paperwork. Very versatile amp with too much power for my needs, so I'm looking for something with less power.

2 Ohm trick?? I'm not familiar with that, could you fill me in?

Flipping the rear impedance selector toggle to 2 Ohm operation decreases output to around 500 watts into 4 Ohms and 350-ish into 8 Ohms. That said, judicious use of the master volume knob and careful listening to your cab(s) will make it just fine to use with any cabs. I regularly use my WD800 into a tiny Phil Jones cab with 2, 4" drivers rated at 200 watts with no issue.

Really!? Cool, I'll give it a try, It's a great amp, if I could get the volume issue sorted, I'd keep it! thanks again for the tip!
Buddy. Please. Read the manual. LOTS of great info. Also, depending on what you like, you could try running higher on the MASTER and using the INPUT as the “volume” knob. Super clean and IMO, easier to control. If you want more grit and hair, go the other way.

Now I'm glad I couldn't buy it from you! They're great amps, assuming it's working properly, and as they are very robust amps, I doubt there's anything wrong with it.
If you want some help sorting it out give me a holler. I have a D800+, used to have a D800, they are very similar and I can probably help you out.
Good luck!
