I wonder if something like that would help my stock G&L JB2 Tribute sound better? It’s an ok bass but the electonics are weak and odd dimensions so they hard to replace.

I’d be interested if the first falls through.

I'll let you know. It definitely adds some of that Sadowsky flavor to a non-Sadowsky bass. If he could make this with a VTC control I'd keep it forever.

Hi mm bass. I have a G&L Jazz and bought a Sadowsky SB-2 preamp. It arrived this afternoon and I couldn't be happier with the sound. Since it is not the DI version I'm running it at the beginning of my chain after the tuner but before compressor, overdrive, filter, and chorus. Some people like it after the compression though. Whatever works best for your set-up of course. Anyway, the pedal really puts a new dimension on the JB. It really works well with my overdrives too. I'm never this enthusiastic about a new pedal.
