Just picked this up recently. I was looking for a Yamaha PB1 and read that this pre is similar. Just found a PB1 so I was able to compare them directly. They are similar but there is something about the Fender style tone stack on the PB1 that I love. I think it’s just that I’ve had a lot of amps with the tone stack and can get what I want out of it quickly. You can make them both pretty indistinguishable from one another but the BP-41 seems to be just a hair more modern sounding.
