I gotta sell somthing, so I have all my basses for sale, this is the one I want to sell the least, and if any of my other basses sell, I will likely pull this one off sale.
I am the third owner of this bass, bought earlier this year. Previous owner bought it in the 80s and had kept it for the last 35 or so years. Despite being his main player for much of that time until he developed arthritis about 5 years ago, he took tremendous care of this all-original bass. The gold hardware shines like new, the finish, though sporting some dimple dings as any bass that has been giggled will, and a small chipped area on the neck, there is no actual gash or completely exposed piece of finish on the body. This bass really gives testimony to Spector's "basses built for a lifetime" slogan. And I can really say that this bass despite only having had it for a few months is my prized possession, but none of my other basses have been bought and I could use some funds for financial peace of mind.
The Bass:
-Kramer Spector NS-5 #0029. This bass is one of I believe 77 NS-5s made during the Kramer era
-34" scale
-Translucent Red Hi gloss finish over Beautiful solid quilted maple wings and 3 piece maple neck
- Original EMG Active J pickups and Haz Lab pre-amp, controls as follows: volume, blend, Treble and bass (boost and cut)
Gold hardware and schaller strap lock buttons.
-comes with Anvil flight hardcase nearly as old as the bass.
Selling for $5000, I'm not sure if I want to ship this as the Anvil case is HEAVY and shipping costs would probably be abnormally high. But if you really want this and you're half way across the country, I could ship it at your expense of course, and only within the US. Id be willing to do a meet ups as far as 2 hours or so from my home in Hyattsville, Maryland.
**The ONLY two basses I'd possibly consider trading for are NS-5XLs with two humbuckers or Ken Smith 5s. Even then I'm much more inclined to selling this outright**
