Bought new in Feb 2012, this one-owner beauty for the lefty in you has been taken care of to where 'excellent condition' is what I'd call it. It's stock except for strap locks put on at infancy. I've run with flats for as long too, as it currently uses Fender flats. Never a problem with electronics, the neck is seriously perfect (this, I understand, was a great period of manufacturing for Fender), and it will give its new owner deep bass at the neck and the burp tone at the bridge.

It's a local pickup, but I'm willing to drive 50 miles to make a fair deal for it. I currently own a 2020 Players Precision and I can honestly tell you the neck on my Jazzer is light years better than the P's. So, IMHO, if you'd rather pay less for more bass guitar, please give this every consideration. Close-ups at your request if you're serious. Thanks!

New to the site so not sure how to PM, but I am very interested. I’m located in NW Indiana so a meeting is certainly doable for me.

Hello. Sounds great. The bass is exactly as you see it in the pics. The only thing I found since putting it up is on of the saddle height adjustment Allen screws is rounded to where I can’t adjust it.

How soon were you interested in looking at it? I’m a teacher just finishing Thanksgiving break. I could do next weekend and be willing to drive to Dekalb, which is the halfway point.

Or I’ll offer you this: if you’re in a hurry and are willing to make the extra 90-minute trip west to Clinton, I’ll knock an additional 10% and sell it to you for $450. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait until next weekend and meet you in Dekalb.

Kick it around and let me know what you’d like to do. Either way, thanks for the interest. We lefties have to stick together!

Mike

Edit: if you want to PM me, click on the Inbox up and to the right, create a new conversation and place my name, iagtrplyr, in the box. I'll be looking forward to discussing things with ya.

As long as I can convince the wife, I’d like to grab it soon. I would love some pictures of the screw and current saddle height, and really whatever else you are willing to snap pics of. I could probably take a day this week/weekend to come out if my SO agrees to it.

Sounds good. I've got more pics and will send you the saddle pics, though it's a hex that's rounded off a bit and will be hard to see. for me, the height is fine, but I know it could be dug out with patience. I'll get ya those this afternoon.

As for this week, I don't usually get home until 5:30 or so, but could get home earlier on Wednesday if that'd work, say by 4:30. Are you interested in making the journey here to Clinton, or would you rather meet somewhere? I could drive down to Davenport and meet you at our Guitar Center parking lot if you'd rather. I could meet you at a rest stop along 80, but I'd rather do that on Saturday during the daylight hours. Let me know what you're thinking. Thanks!

I am no stranger to a drive, I don’t mind driving to Clinton or somewhere near by so whatever is convenient for you. Do you take PayPal? It would be my preferred method of payment if possible. Any day would be fine as long as I know soon so I can let work know. I’m fine with $450 as long as all you’ve said is true, I trust that you’re looking out for the fellow lefties though! If the screw is stripped, I don’t think the fix would be too challenging.

I have a PayPal account but must admit I’ve never received money, only paid out. I totally get why you’d want to use it though. Let me look into it. I’d do a cashiers check too if you felt comfortable with that. I look at PayPal though.

I’ll do Wednesday if you want it soon, otherwise Saturday or Sunday would be fine with me. Unless you have something better, I’ve got. Vox AmpPlug I could bring of ya wanna play through it.

I’ll send the pics soon,

Mike

If you’ve used it to pay then it should post money to whatever card you’ve got saved. If it proves to difficult I’ll just bring cash. Vox AMP would be great! It’s on my Christmas list so I haven’t gotten one myself yet, I was just going to bring my little Orange Crush. I would definitely prefer Wednesday, wife just gave the go ahead.

This getting exciting! Okay, let's do Wednesday late afternoon. If you can time it, I'll meet you in the parking lot of our local Jewels Osco on 2nd St in Clinton. it's the main thoroughfare and easy to find with GPS. We can do the particulars as you guys get closer. I don't see PayPal as being a problem, but I'll toss you a bone here: make it cash and I'll throw in the Vox as a gift from Iowa to Indiana! It's the first-gen AmpPlug but sounds terrific. No biggie if you're not interested, but I'd rather count the Franklins instead of doing it online.

Just took a bunch of pics and will have them to you shortly. I was wrong, it was my old bridge that the string height screws had a bad one. I forgot I got rid of it and bought a Fender vintage bridge instead. It's 100 times better with added sustain and built like the old days. It obviously stays on. Check the pics and see what you think. Feel free to ask questions too. This is my oldest baby and has been my best gigging bass. I've just gotten so used to the short scales, though I will admit there's nothing lie this neck. Fast as lightning and smooth as butter.

I'm feeling this and hope you are too. Look for pics as fast as I can load them up.

Here's the Vox AmpPlug and 15 pics of the bass. The case isn't in the deal, but the bass will come to you in it. I'm also including the original scratchplate, but I'd toss it if you're partial to the tort. Again, peruse the pics over and let me know if you have a question. So the deal is $450 for the Jazzer alone, or $450 cash for the Jazzer and AmpPlug if you're interested. It's in perfect condition as I haven't played it in quite a while. I'll do a check though if you'd like it. Enjoy!

looks like you’ve got a deal as long as it all checks in person as I’m sure it will. I’ll have cash too, that’s too good to pass up! Glad I decided to take a browse this morning. We can suss out the details closer to Wednesday if you’d like.

thanks for all the extra pics and speedy replies!

Thank you, Devron, for browsing today. I’m one of this area’s more reputable sellers and have earned the rep. I treat my equipment with the respect it deserves and when selling, it always receives a positive comment. I think you’ll be very happy.

I teach about 20 minutes away and if I can get out by 4:00 or so, I can be at the Jewels lot right around 4:30. You can call or text as soon as you get within earshot of Clinton. If you come in off the North Bridge, you’ll only have to drive south on N 2nd St for about six blocks. My number is (563) 249-9569.

I hope we can do some business together,

Mike
