Here It’s a really cool impossible to find handmade custom pickguard from a California company in 2008.
It is machined from aluminum with LP records machined onto the face of it, very cool.

1/16" aluminum is entirely hand-machined and factory polished. Accurate to within 10 thousandths of an inch. Creates a more stable ground as compared to foil backing on poly guards. Attenuates feedback and speaker buzz.

Just and FYI: This metal treatment is called "engine turned" and was used during the 60's on Hot Rod parts and dashboards. A simple way to do this is with a drill press and a round wire wheel. It is super difficult to do accurately and I wish I saw this earlier!
