Details

Hello there! I've owned this for about 3 years. I did a few jazz gigs with it but it's mainly stayed at home for noodling.

This is the same Bordwell Dola that's been posted here a couple times over the years.

Plays great, sounds great, feels great.

Macassar ebony top, ash body, morado fingerboard, maple/wenge set neck. Very light (est. 9 lbs.)

Passive Aero DC pickup with single volume knob. Plenty of room to add active preamp or whatever you want.

34" scale with .75" spacing at bridge.

Hipshot A-style brass bridge, gotoh resolite tuners

Items of disclosure -
Low B tuner's plastic washer broke so it needs a repair or replacement. Still holds the B just won't go any higher.
Strap pin was relocated, old hole was filled.
A few dings and minor buckle rash (tried to show in pics)

No gig bag and prefer not to ship. May change mind depending on interest.

Price drop to $1500.

Bass is strung with Thomastik-Infeld flats by the way. I had rounds on it for a little while but most of it's life it had flats.

Keeping deal local to Los Angeles, I'd drive up to a few hours either way to meet.

I'm getting a bass shipped to me next week and may be willing to ship the Dola using those packing materials. Just hesitant to trust such a thing of beauty with USPS or ups.

....odd that there are at least 2 Dola sixers in LA right now...

Good luck with the sale, just to clarify, what do you mean the B string tuner won't go any higher? And what is the string spacing at the nut, looks pretty wide, similar to my TRB-6.

I mean that if you're tuning the bass from a detuned state, the highest note it can reach is B. So it's fine for anyone that wants to drop to A but if you want an open C it ain't gonna happen. Honestly I should just replace the tuner and then it's back to being a perfect bass.

8mm at the nut, quite wide indeed.

Damn that’s fine! Nice presentation…and a single knob…I’ve always felt that should be enough…GLWTS…

My car is in the shop for a new driveshaft. Someone please take this off my hands so I can get to work next week. Haha.
