B834752E-8041-4F72-A92B-06C5D4BBDF79.jpeg Up for sale is 1968-69 Serial # M 113 AMPEG AMUB-1 bass. Only 250 AMUB-1’s were ever made. Weight: 10.5 lbs.
I have had it refinIshed and relic’d. When I bought it, it had been repainted to a glossy black and flaking off. Another modification was to replace the original lower output pickup with a custom humbucker made by Bruce Johnson ( Bruce specializes in repairing Ampeg Scroll Basses and creating his own form of custom made Scroll Basses). I will send the original pickup and wiring along with this bass to the buyer.

It is strung with D’Addario Chromes, as recommended by Bruce Johnson himself. The pics show the relic’d areas as well as a small area of wood (see pics) chipped off. If you live in the Cincinnati-Dayton metro area, and would like to play it before buying, please PM me to arrange a meeting.

When purchased, this will be shipped free of charge to CONUS via UPS.

Yeah, brother! ... but, am I allowed to play this bass if I DON'T have a handle-bar mustache?
