Any dead spots? I had a 35" Lull P5 several years ago that was wonderful, but it had a dead spot on the D at the 7th fret of the G string. It seemed to be the resonant frequency of the neck, and that note was noticeably quieter with much less sustain than other notes nearby.

I don't know the answer, and my P5 was at least 7 years older than this one, but I put a set of TI Jazz Flats on mine and found a very nice 60s P sound.
The Seymour Duncan that comes with the P5 is a custom-made to Mike Lull's specs several years ago. Believe me, he got it right. As for what it's modeled after, Mike had a deep and serious love for vintage P basses. We can only guess that he designed this particular Duncan pickup with that in mind, but made for a 5-string instrument.
And this custom pickup can't be bought as aftermarket. It comes only with a Lull P5.

and it is a righteous piece of work! I lucked into one when restoring my Lull P5 to stock. The Duncan so smokes the Nordstrand that it had when I bought it. Very 60's.
