Whoa, that was fast - SOLD all three basses - the Jazz AND both Precisions in record time!! :hyper:

Fellow TBers - for nearly a decade, I've kept three fine examples of the Fender American Vintage Reissue (AVRI) Series in my closet. I mostly play my Sadowskys these days. Time to release these rare beauties back into the wild. If you're looking for what to do with that bonus, well, here you go.

Two Precisions and a stack-knob Jazz. True closet classics, as I have only rarely played them. They live in their cases in my smoke-free home - and the dog is not allowed upstairs. The heady nitro aroma of any of these superb basses will cause any bass player to swoon upon merely opening the case. (Just let the temperature equilibrate first!)

Price of $1495 is for your choice of bass with its G&G/Fender OHSC and case candy including original tags; add $100 for shipping, CONUS only. PayPal or Zelle. Subtract $45 for local cash deal in the L.A./Orange County area. As is. And as it's Christmas, I'll include a nice 4" Levy Leather strap with each bass. The '57 gets suede - of course!

NO TRADES. (Sorry for shouting.) Due to new and unacceptable PayPal policies for 2022, if these don't sell by 12/31/2021, they're staying. Please PM with any questions. Totally OK to drool here though. :smug:

If you're planning to relic or part them out, please go find one that's already a mess. These aren't. A few little marks here and there, but for nitro, pretty darn pristine. They've been set up, though not recently - please factor that in. Cases are also in great shape with maybe a little ding if you squint hard enough. I believe these are all final year (2012) production.

Fender AVRI '57 Precision - SOLD! - 9.75 pounds with bridge cover. One owner - me. Purchased new. Stunning white blonde translucent nitro finish over ash, maple fretboard. Strung with La Bella flats. Minimal player wear (a few light scratches) on the back. Neck is clean and chunky; nut width is 1.75". Tweed G&G case. Sounds like Precision heaven. Very "3-D" to my ears.

Fender AVRI '62 Precision
- SOLD!- 9.10 pounds with bridge cover. All original - though I'm the second owner. One of the prettier examples of nitro 3TSB over alder that I've ever seen. The fretboard is thick, dark rosewood. Strung with LaBella flats. A couple of small scratches on the front and some minimal scratches on the back. Neck is clean, and svelte front to back; 1.75" wide at the nut. Tolex G&G case. Roll off the tone and it sounds like the funk machine that it is.

Fender AVRI '62 Jazz (stack knob) - SOLD! - 9.75 pounds with bridge cover. Also purchased new. The Olympic White nitro finish arrived a bit soft from the factory. It has mellowed to a luscious creamy color. If you look cross-eyed at nitro, it will flake. This one, more so. A little cracking appeared around the neck plate when the great Mo Mina set it up for me way back when. There is a tiny fleck of missing paint at the lower horn on the front, and some paint separation that was caused by, and is hidden by, the bridge cover. The neck is pristine and period-appropriate with 1.5" width and chunky profile; the rosewood is mesmerizing. The stack knob setup is way cool. Tone is oh so '60s - that is to say, huge. I never installed the grounding strip, but it's there. Tolex G&G case. Strung with GHS Pressurewounds, which it likes. Might need a new set though.

Sigh.... Now the pics!

Having owned all three of these basses in these colors in the past (not these exact ones obviously), I can say the buyers will be happy :)

Congrats on the sales!!! What a great group of Fender basses! Definitely a trifecta! I have an '83 Fullerton reissue P and an AVRI stack-knob Jazz in the same colors. My faves! Plus you have the '57 in that sought-after color scheme. Nicely done on grabbing 2 of 3 @moreblues!!

Best wishes to the new owners, may they play these Fenders loud and proud. Will ship right after the craziness peaks, per request. I left some photos up for drooling purposes. :smug: I'll miss these classic basses, yet feel good knowing they're headed to great new homes. And, per TB protocol, they are switching coasts.

Thank you TB, and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
