Uncle Rick here again. If you've seen the last two posts, you know why we're here. I spent too much money . . . again. Daddy needs a new pair of shoes, so some toys have to go.
I decided to delve into the wonderful world of octave pedals recently, and this really is a wonderful . . . WONDERFUL . . . one. It is fat, huge, and tracks great. The "upper octave" adds a sweet distortion to the overall tone, great for synthing it up, and sounds particularly fantastic when playing in higher registers. I have no experience with other octaves before this one, save for a brief stint with a TC Sub 'n Up that I bought for a cover project that never materialized a few years ago, and subsequently sold. But this puppy is in a whole other league. It's super smooth and fat. Having no experience with an analog octaver prior to this to compare it to, I'm not sure how the tracking is compared to others, but it tracks really well for me at least down to the low E (played on the B-string of my 5-string.) Of course, at that point or lower all you're hearing is diarrhea-inducing subharmonics, but heck, isn't that why we got into this game? To give our adoring fans and/or the congregation diarrhea? I know I did. No? Okay. I'll just speak for myself. The "mids" switch of the sub channel, in the words of Foxrox, "gives the low octave a 'woody' type of tone, with midrange punch that will cut through when using a small amp." In my words, it cuts some of the uber lows and gives it more of a mid-range punch.

It is in like-new condition, save for the Velcro on the bottom, and the fact that I removed the rubber feet for pedalboard mounting. I will include the feet with the pedal, if you're so inclined as to reattach them, but I can't imagine why you'd want to do such a thing! It will come with the box, manual, and little goodies shown in the pics.
