Not sure if this is kosher, however, I'm looking to trade a titanium road bike for a bass.. Cycling bassists, let me know what you think!! Info is as follows:

For trade is my Seven Cycles Axiom SL titanium road bike painted matte/jet black.

Frame is around 56cm.

This bike has all the works and is a dream come true.. it's even equipped with dura ace electronic shifting.. super smooth!

I bought this bike from a friend back in the summer, and have since sustained a pretty serious shoulder injury (not from riding, this bike has never been crashed/wrecked). Sorry to say, it has not seen much riding since.

With the winter upon us, I'm looking to move this bike to a loving home. Any questions you might have, please don't hesitate to ask, and I'll answer to the best of my ability. ** I've also attached the geometry sheet from Seven in the photos**

This cycle was originally a custom build, valued at over $10,000 new.. don't miss your chance to own your dream bike at a fraction of the cost!

For more information, feel free to visit:

Axiom SL | Bikes | Seven Cycles

P.S.

Bike has been recently tuned up, and is ready to go!

I will also include a free set of mavic brake pads that have been discontinued!

Trade valued around $5000.

However, if you'd like to purchase the bike, that is possible, too.

Basses considered:

Rob Allen Deep 4 or 5 Fretless or Veillette.

Fodera, Vintage Fender, Clifford Roi, Adamovic, Moollon + other High end P bass or Jazz Basses considered, 4, 5, or 6 strings. Let me know what you've got!

I would also consider multiple basses on trade if you'd like to bundle a couple of basses.

More pictures upon request.

local pickup/meetup preferred..

I'm on Long Island and can meet tri state area. New York, New Jersey, Connecticut.

However, bike can be shipped starting first week in March.

Any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

Happy new year!!

Thanks for looking & happy shopping!!

That's a sweet ride! Sorry to hear about your shoulder. I injured my left shoulder on 12/29/2019, and I haven't fully recovered. Went into lockdown when I needed to go into PT. Best of luck in your recovery. Really nice bike!…

Thank you.. I got a course of PT in.. still had pain though, surgery possible. Luckily, I'm still able to play upright and electric. I have another really nice bike made by independent fabrications. I just figured I would offer this by way of trade, as no one seems to have snagged it up on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace as of yet. Thanks for looking, and for the well wishes.. Hope your shoulder feels better, too!

Great bike.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I had total reconstruction of my right shoulder after being injured at a karate training event. Major dislocation. Tore everything - 3 of the subscapularis muscles, two ligaments, blew the rotator cuff off of the bone completely, tore the labrum, and completely tore the biceps tendons. My arm was pretty much held on by the skin. Surgery took 5 hours and I now sport 9 titanium fasteners in there.

This was pre-covid, but FWIW all of my early PT focused on establishing range of motion. They had me start with "elephants" - bend at the hips and let your arm hang. With your arm relaxed, slowly swing it in slow circles, 5-10 times in each direction. It sucks. Do this several times a day. When that starts to feel ok, they started me doing slow arm raises, front, side and back with similar reps. That also sucks. That should give you a bit of a head start on PT when you can get started. In all of this the key is patience, repetition, and consistency. No weights- just gentle motion. Some DI scomfort is necessary, but pain means stop now. The good news is that I eventually recovered 90+% of my range of motion and strength, which is pretty decent given how serious the damage was.

Btw, while I can no longer ride a conventional bike, I do enjoy riding my recumbent. I managed about 1500 miles last season - not too bad for a fat old guy.

Best of luck!

As an owner of a Seven Axiom SL, I'd say if this bike fits, it'd be a great deal. Definitely high quality, top of the line. The ride will be second to none.

Duval, if you're having trouble moving the bike, you might want to looking into The Pro's Closet. I've never used them but they seem to be gaining momentum in the industry. Just another option.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, and nice to meet another Seven cycles owner! I tried the Pro's closet.. they low balled me like crazy. Almost laughable! Just figured I would try this, before disassembling the bike, and parting it out. Thanks for the comment!

It might help with your ad if you could let us know what kind of bass you are looking for in trade? Make/brand, models, etc.
I will do that now, however, I'm pretty flexible in that, if it's a bass valued at $5k, I'm all ears. At this rate, I may have better luck moving a bass picked up on trade, than this bike. Anyone who knows what this is knows, but there aren't a lot of people in the know.

Thanks for the comment!

You might want to try and consign it at a high-end bike shop.
I like basses.. so I'd gladly trade. A lot of shops don't sell used bikes. If it doesn't sell/trade here, i will most likely part it out, and sell that way.
