For sale Fernandes Loaded P Bass Body | PRICE LOWERED

Hi.
Is the neck pocket 2-1/2"or 2-7/16 like many of the older Fernandes basses? It almost looks like it was widened to fit a 2.5 standard heel.
Also, the bridge position looks like it may have been a med or short scale bass?

The pocket is 2 7/16". Don't know about the position of the bridge. It's a long scale measure AFIK.

If you're asking if you can install a Mexican P Bass neck on the Fernandes body, the answer is yes.

Here's a Fender Precision bass. The bridge is much closer to the edge of the body. I'm thinking that bass isn't set up for standard 34" scale necks....unless that Fernandez body is elongated somehow.


I point this out because I'm kind of interested in the body. But I don't think it will work with a Fender, or Fender licensed, standard neck.

Let me check this out and I'll get back to you. I can do some measurements to determine if the scale length is 34" with a standard Fender style neck.

So the body measures 17" in length compared to 16.5" which is what my Fender PBass measures. So I think that compensates for the bridge being where it is. Another thing to know is the the neck pocket is 1/16" wider than standard. It's something Fernandes did on some basses.

The neck that was on this body measures the same as a Fender neck so the scale length would be 34". If you're interested make me an offer.
