Just add a battery clip and it's ready to go. This came out of my Moon JJ-4, works great but Bartolini just isn't my personal flavor.
I'm pretty sure the bar connecting them is an extra grounding measure, you can detach them to fit a bass with a different layout.
Layout is V/V/B/T (or T/B?), but basically 2 volumes, 2 band EQ.
