I was so excited to get this neck, but after receiving it I realized it is a 22 fret neck, when I needed a traditional 20 fret. It was my fault for not paying close attention, so I didn't try to return it. It's a beautiful American Precision Deluxe maple neck WITH Fender "F" tuners. It features a maple fretboard with abalone dots, bone nut, and high gloss headstock. It is in solid working shape and the truss rod works properly. This neck feels great and I would gladly use it if I had a need for a longer scale neck.

The fine print... There are a few blemishes I should mention. There were a couple repairs that the previous owner had done by a luthier. The first is a hairline crack on back of neck just below the headstock which has been stabilized with epoxy. Next, there was a small crack between the first fret and nut and a graft was made to repair that. It's all stable and smooth now. Of course, the finish shade is a bit lighter on the graft than the original now. But it's really not all that noticeable. Overall, great work on both repairs. The only other issue is one of the tuners has a replacement screw and washer which don't match the originals. But the tuner works fine. You should be able to see all of these in the attached pictures.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm pretty firm on selling this but might consider trade offers for a Fender (or reputable aftermarket) Jazz neck with pearl block inlays (rosewood or maple fretboard only, no pau ferro).

$285 shipped to continental US only. PayPal payment preffered.

One other thing I forgot to mention is these necks are originally made for 5 screw plate attachment. Previous owner plugged the original holes and redrilled for classic 4 hole setup. It will work with either setup. Just have to pull the plugs to use for 5 hole again.

Will this work on a standard p bass body. I ask because to thought necks with the extra frets had a fretboard overhang and this neck doesn't
