I have a bit too much variety and am choosing to simplify my selections. This has been my fav head for quite a while. It’s purely spectacular.
What happened is over time my tastes changed and I’m more in the like of the walkabout now and have fallen deeply for the very different characteristics of the WD800… which I have 2 of.
I have never taken this head on stage since receiving it a number of years ago. It has stayed at my house up until recently when I started back up with a group again in which I have been using it in a very clean, smoke free basement. It’s a “shoes off” kind of place.
Since acquiring my second WD the intent has been to replace the Genz with it. .. well, I’m finally getting around to it. It’s been really hard to justify no longer using this beast.
This way I’ll be using the same head live as I do with head phones at home.
Would I like to keep it? Sure. Just trying to be realistic. I don’t want it to collect dust until I retire and have more time for additional musical projects…probably never.
