old description:

I've decided to list this amp/cab for sale.

I purchased the amp in 2013 as a birthday gift to myself. I was obsessed with many Hiwatt players, and desperately wanted to experience the real thing.

I think most of you know enough about these, but feel free to ask any questions. This amp has served me very well on gigs and in the studio. It truly is all that, and the proverbial bag of chips.

I'm selling for a few reasons.
1. I think I've seen the light when it comes to modeling. I'd like to piece together a reference rig.
2. I never gig it anymore.
3. I'm not a man of refined/specific taste. I LOVE this amp and the all tube character that comes with it, but I also love my Traynor TS-50, Carvin BX500, GK 700RB equally.

The amp is in great condition save for a small tear in the tolex. It comes with a Reeves slip cover as well as a far more robust Studio Slips double padded case.

It also comes with a Lava Cables Y jumper cable so you can run into both inputs (an absolute must, in my opinion).

The Cab is basically brand new. I've had it since 2014, and it has never left my basement. It has only been used for rehearsals and recording. Dressed up to match the Reeves, they make an absolutely beautiful pair. It oozes old school tone, and the tweeter brings the snap if you want it to.

It has the recessed side handles and wheels on the back.

Reasons for selling:
1. It's too big for me to take on a gig.
2. It doesn't match anything else of mine.
3. The whole modeling thing.

Head is 59lbs
Cab is 66lbs

The head is $2700 new.
The cab as equipped was around $1600.
Lecover + Studio Slips cover was around $200
Total new = $4500

Asking $3200 for the pair. Probably open to offers. Might be willing to split them up. Can't ship, so local NY/NYC only. Willing to let you demo it at my place.

If someone REALLLLYYYYY wants it shipped to them, I can probably make it happen, but I'd Imagine that's gonna be an easy $200 between packing materials and the actual shipping.

Please feel free to ask any questions or request specific pictures.

Thanks for looking!

If you can handle the bulk, it’s hard to see how you’d improve on that.

For what it is, the bulk ain't too bad. The head is just under 60lbs. That's pretty fantastic for an all tube beast using big boy transformers. If I remember correctly, the actual output is closer to 250 watts.

The cab weighs around the same, but is relatively shallow. The wheels and handles make this an incredibly easy move, even for my 5' 6" 125lb self.

I’m imagining how awesome that would sound full of reggae riddims.

There's nothing it can't do. I found it very responsive to different basses/cabs, the EQ is flexible, and the ability to jump channels (or not) really adds to the versatility.

Yup, I believe you can only get a Dually T with the Faital drivers. At least that was the case when I got it.
My days of needing a rig this powerful are far behind me but I have always wanted one of those heads. I would pair it w/ 4x12 Eminence Legends - 1000w handling, no tweeter. Loud enough to register on the Richter scale. GLWTS!
