- Swamp ash body, 2 piece offset seam, clear, poly finish
- Pickup cutout in the pickguard accepts a standard Precision pickup, but has been cut a little wonky. The Jazz pickup is “neck” sized rout. No weird cuts on that one. A set of GZR with the SJ would fit this bass.
- String thru ferrules drilled and installed. These don’t come with this feature, so doing it, opened up a lot of string options for a short scale bass. I was using TI JR324’s.
- All cavities fully shielded.
- Maple (slightly figured) neck, maple board, 20 jumbo frets, 2 way truss rod. 1.5” nut, 2.5” heel. 3/4” (19mm) string spacing.
- Neck edges rolled and frets leveled/crowned/sprout filed.
- Headstock modified to a smaller profile. If you see these in real life, you’ll know why I made the mod: the head is full size and the body is approx 40% smaller than standard. Plus, the full size tuners produce incredible neck dive. Sealed and looks great from a few feet away. A couple of tear out spots on the back, could be filled and blended easily.
- Tuner holes are 9/16”, which accommodate Gotoh, Hipshot 3/8 post, or other mini style tuners. I had GB350’s on it.
- Gotoh oversized strap buttons, neck plate, and bridge/ferrules included.
- Specs from man’fr: SX Ursa 3 JR MN Ash NA Short Scale Bass
