ZON Todd Johnson (TJ6) Signature Bass – 2009 model
Here’s a rare one.. The bass is stunning, heavily optioned, well balanced, and sounds incredible. I believe it was a NAMM bass in 2009. The deep cutaway on these TJ basses makes accessing higher frets super easy, mix that with the incredible fretwork and it’s a gamechanger with chordal work. Mint condition and ready for a new owner!
Per the Zon website bass builder, this would be a $10k+ bass if ordered new today. See the screenshot in the pictures.

- Phenowood fingerboard is especially lovely on this bass with a bit of red in there
- Abalone fingerboard face dots
- Bubinga tone plate
- 34” scale with 26-frets
- Radiused pickups
- Has a truss rod to adjust tension, but I’ve never needed to adjust it (nor did previous owner)
- Original hardshell case w/a handful of scratches, but generally in really good shape.
- Strung with Zon Ultrasonic Stainless Steel strings. Will ship with another unused set in case.
- Just under 10 lbs per my home scale
