This definitely a feeler as I really dig this amp but my interest has been piqued by the PJB Double Four. For sale is a vintage GK 200RB in excellent condition for its age. If you’re looking you know what this is. For whatever reason these always sounded warmer to me than it’s bigger brothers the 400RB & 800RB. Local sale would be preferable but will split shipping to CONUS with buyer.

Terribly sorry to ask an off topic question like this but....

Is that instrument cable made from coax?

I’m not 100% certain. It’s a George L’s cable and connector. The connection is by screw so if it ever goes at a show you can just trim it and reconnect…no solder necessary!

Great little amp, I regret selling mine. I agree with it sounding better than the 800RB,was never really happy with it. I was always pleased with my 400RB. You have good taste in gear, I'm an Ashdown user as well, I usually pair it with a Barefaced Super Twin.

I've got one of these, rescued from someone's fire bomb project, lol. It's the amp that sits in the rehearsal space, running into a two-way 15/6 type cab w/ a passive x-over.
It's a great amp, with an overbuilt and very robust power section. Sounds very, very good.
I was selling it, decided to keep it (admittedly mine looks like it got pulled from some kind of natural disaster, but it's been serviced and rocks like it was new) .
Anyway, here's a recommendation. A loud 100w @ 8 ohms. Put it through an efficient 8 ohm system and there is sonic happiness.

The location looks to have been lost in the upgrade. I’m in Southern Maine but travel to Quincy about once or twice a month.

I would suggest you spend a few hours with PJ amps before purchasing. I tried out a "Suitcase?" i think it was called with a bunch of 8"s. Cant imagine you could use it against a drum kit. Then i purchased a BP800. Lots of hiss at idle, and after an hour it was so hot you could hardly touch the case, and i wasnt pushing it either. That made me go other directions quickly. I always trusted Mesa so WD800, D800+ are a couple i found to have great power, run pretty cool and seem to be bulletproof. Just my thoughts. vern
