Fender/MJT Precision parts bass
Recently finished this project but now I’m GASing for something else so putting this up for sale or trade. This bass has a Fender Nate Mendel (2014) neck. This neck is factory relic’ed but I did sand the back a bit since I like it better that way. The finish is worn through in a couple spots as you can see. It has Hipshot 70s style tuners. The neck sets up great, truss rod works as it should, and the frets have minimal wear. The string retainer is an old token from an arcade that says “good time token”. I have the original one from the neck if you prefer. The nut width is just under 1 5/8” and it has a slim front to back profile.
The body is an alder body finished by MJT aged finishes. The color is Ocean Turquoise with a heavy relic. It has the white undercoat and no checking. The pickup is a G&L SB-1/2 pickup but I also have a G&L LB-100 pickup that I could install if you prefer (more traditional style P bass pickup with Alnico V magnets). Fender American Vintage tort pickguard, Fender vintage style threaded saddle bridge (with relic’ed cover), relic’ed flat top knobs, and an ebony thumb rest that I made for it. It also has black Dunlop strap lock buttons on it and DR Hi Beam strings.
