DOH!
Love these basses, but I jumped the gun.
Something else I bid on came through and I can't keep both.
Had it for only a few days.
Selling for way below what I paid (Tired of looking at all the stuff I don't use.).

The electronics are all there.
Just removed in the one pic to show the great job the previous owner did
lining the cavity.

This is a offer in the Con US.
Also comes with a new, padded Marcus Miller gig bag (not pictured).

Trades?:
Spector Pulse 6 string.
6 string fretless (unlined).
Electric Upright.
???

Thanks

Not familiar with what his color is,
but this one is either bubinga or walnut which is basically unfinished/no laquer,
so staining it/re-staining it should be a relatively simple proccess I would think.

That Cirrus is walnut (plain, not claro).
John Taylor has (at least) a solid metallic blue cirrus, and a flame maple one that is "blackish" in color. Both of them have a poly-like finish. This bass has an oil finish. If you strip it you can do whatever you want, but it's work...

FWIW, this is my second one of these and they are listed as Bubinga. They do make a Walnut version that is more chocolate (darker) brown. Maybe mine looks darker on your computer. Not sure.

The one in the last picture is my Bosnas yellow ottoman from IKEA :) I owned that bass, and I am the one that did that (and other) work.
I asked on this very forum, as I was myself unsure, and there was uniform agreement that it was indeed Walnut.
If you believe it's Bubinga that's fine by me.

First: What last picture??

I don't know woods. I'm just going by Peavey's listing, actually seeing the separate "Walnut" version and having and/or playing both versions over the years.

Last picture of your first post. That's a picture that I took (in my living room) when I was working on that bass (that I previously owned).
Regarding the wood I was undecided between bubinga and walnut but this forum: The Official U.S. Peavey Cirrus Club made me lean towards walnut. Obviously I can be wrong.

Ahh...
Well, after looking at several "claims" of several examples of each I've come to the conclusion....
I can't tell.
I could certainly see where someone could believe it was either (although some Walnut examples were much darker than this).

I'm half asleep still. Didn't realize you were the previous owner. DOH! (Wanna' buy it back? I'll pay shipping?).

So.. it might be either. Who knows?

We were pretty sure the top is walnut. It's a nice, dark piece.
