They really increased the functionality in a huge way with all the new modes, and midi control is always a plus.
If you don't have half a dozen reverb pedals and delays already, and want a lot of functionality in a single box, this is going to be hard to beat. The one button looper is also pretty damn cool. The size compared to the original (which I have a few of) is also a relief.
