If you've always wanted a low B that sounds like a concert grand piano, this is for you. Definitely not for folks with smaller hands (1 7/8" width at nut and 35" inch scale) or folks with back problems (weighs around 10lbs), but has a huge sound and sustain.
I had an issue with the pre-amp a few years ago and had it removed. Would be easy to put another in, or just hook it up to a pedal pre amp and you're good to go. This is the reason for the low price. The bass is in very good condition. There are small knicks, and slight wear to the finish where there normally might be a pick guard. I have tried to capture it in the photos, but it's difficult to see in the pix.
Shipping is about $170 to the east coast, but I'll only charge $150 and then actual shipping costs for anything under $150 (eg, shipping to LA would be around $115). I would ship it in an older Protec case that ain't beautiful, but it's structurally sound.
Let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos. If you have a P bass with a fat neck, I might be interested in a trade and offer some cash for the right instrument. Four strings only. Thanks for looking!
