Four Qs from an interested Buyer:
1) Can we get a pic of the back of the headstock showing the Hipshot?
2) No truss, the neck is composite...straight as an arrow? That'd be my biggest concern.
2) I have a bunch of fretless basses, is this a 'play on the dots' neck (they placed the dots where the frets should be) or 'play forward of the dots' (standard placement between where the frets would be). My SRF700 drives me nuts, it's a 'forward' bass. Godin too.
3) Ok, who used the roundwounds on that fretboard (a pic from your Reverb listing)? I see a 2000 grit sanding in its future.

Rounds on a Zon fretless aren't as big of a deal as they would be on a normal, wood fretboard. Unless this one is different, his fretboards are made of 'phenowood' (some sort of resin/phenolic/wood combination), and coated.

The lack of truss rod throws some people off, but I've never had an issue with my Sonus-8, and that's a lot of tension on the neck.

A stunning example of a Sonus Special! THE fretless if you are going to play one.

Public Service Announcement AND to put a stop on fretless disinformation, "Using rounds on fretless"....good for you. It doesn't need any sanding at all. Unless someone has been using waaay to much left hand pressure and the board is grooved to the point of causing audibly measurable low spots (which this bass does not, and obviously has been meticulously cared for), it's a part of playing fretless and slight string marks are 100% normal and expected. I am certain you know this; some do not. I apologize (kind of) for the PSA, but TB can often be a source of disinformation. It's a fingerboard, not a mirror.

This should be a quick sale! Good luck, my friend!

Sweet, haven't seen one of these in a while. I had truss-less Sonus 8 and Sonus 4/2 Zons and both necks were spot-on, no issues.

Is this available again? If so, I sent you a pm awhile ago and I'm still interested

I'm interested, too, but it looks like the bass is listed on Reverb.

I can confirm this bass is sold. It arrived with some unexpected issues which the seller has assured me I will be compensated for. At this point the bass is off the market. If that changes I will let you know. The Reverb listing was deleted a week or so ago...

Hey Mik, thanks so much for letting us know. Sorry you're having issues with the bass.

Hi. You're welcome for the info. The issues with the bass are relatively minor, just not the sort of unwelcome surprises or shortcomings that are acceptable when dropping $3k3 on a bass. My door is open, the fix is easy.....

Cheers.
