Will post pics soon.

4 stringer, white, neck thru, 24 frets, P/J pickup combo. Serial number in low 1xxx. I believe the hardshell case is original. Asking $1950 shipped. paypal ok if we split fees.

reason for selling: 24 frets + scale length make it awkward for me to fret in low positions (i'm not a big guy). so i'm ordering a 32" scale 24 fret from dhuffguitars.com.

about me: fairly new to talkbass. i am a regular over at the jackson/charvel forum (jcfonline.com) with the same username. feel free to ask the admins about my classifieds feedback over there. also check my feedback on ebay (triple_vee).

Here's a picture. I took a lot, but this is the only one where the white levels weren't completely foobar. Will try to post more later...

Disclosures: there is yellowing along the edges of the neck along the entire length. There is a 2" section along the back of the neck where there are some small compression dings, but you do not notice this at all while playing. I can't explain how this happened as I am not the original owner, but it does not look like a fall at all.

Again, I will take more pictures of these issues if there is any interest in the bass.

If there's any doubt as to this bass's authenticity as a pre-kramer, here is the information I got from PJ Rubal at Spector.

"yes your bass was made in our Brooklyn workshop. date completed was Jan 21 1986. the final Brooklyn instruments were completed in July 1986."

Cheers

BUMP for a nice bass. I remember being blown away by these things when they first came out, with the triangle pickups like the bassist for Loverboy had.

The strings are round wound. Not sure what gauge.

The s/n is impossible to photograph. It is stamped into the back of the headstock and then covered with multiple layers of paint so that the only way you can make it out is to hold it at an angle to a light. But it is 10xx.

back on the market (i just pulled the trigger on a sadowsky and need to pay for it). ignore original post regarding paypal fees. also, i will give right of first refusal to larryR seeing that he was an original owner.

new pics! if the discoloration on the neck bothers you, sorry! no discounts for that! :)

by popular demand, more pics (click on them to see full size).

there is fret wear (flat spots) in the 1st position, but as you can see, there is plenty of fret life left. the fret wear decreases considerably as you go up the neck from the 1st position.

This bass haunted me since last year's posting.
Man, now I really wish I hadn't blown my truck's engine last week.
