Beautiful TFL 4-string jazz bass built by Marco Bass Guitars in the USA. Alder body with translucent blue burst finish and maple neck with maple fretboard. The neck is 1.50” wide at the nut and features glow-in-the-dark side dots, Hipshot tuners plus black blocks for a great look. This bass is 34.5” scale, and the string spacing is 19mm at the bridge. The pickups are Marco’s passive handwound single coil gems, and they are awesome. Very even sound across the strings and great sustain. Standard controls – V-V-T. Bass weighs 9.2 lbs. and is in excellent condition. Will ship with a like new padded gig bag. Price includes insured shipping in the CONUS. Payment by PayPal (F&F) is preferred. Might consider a trade - especially if it's a G&L LB-100, Lakland Duck Dunn, Nash P or maybe a Wunkay.

I love my Marco Basses, this is a lot of Bass for that money! Marco's pick ups are FAB, my 5 strings is 34.5" yet feels very familiar. GLWS

This looks fantastic. Cool finish, and the demo of the relic'd one sounds great. It looks like a beautiful take on that classic Geddy Lee-style J.
How well does something like this handle dropped tunings and normal scale strings? If I get this, I'm likely going to keep it in Eb standard, and the pressurewounds I've been using lately have silks on them even though they aren't flats.
This is a bit past the end of my price range and I hate pulling the trigger on a bass I haven't met in person, so this might just be a bump to make sure it gets some love.

Edit: I've been occasionally poking around IRL for some type of J bass. I used to hate the 'classic' look and gravitate towards weirder looking instruments, and it seems as I'm getting older the Fender 'look' is growing on me again. GC and other places near me mostly have Fender (+squier/jackson/gretsch/etc) Ibanez and MM (sterling) these days, but occasionally a few schecters and I was pretty impressed with the J-5, I might pull the trigger on a J-4 if I find a good used one. Whew, unrelated brain dump that I should probably put in its own thread!

This would handle dropped tunings and uses normal scale strings.
