All standard MB-2 4 strings are 34". I have owned five of them! Currently own a Deep 4 and a Deep 5. Mouse are short scale.

Beautiful! Love my MB-2 and trying to save for a Mouse - I too prefer short scale, but the MB-2 is the easiest 34 inch scale I've ever played. Good price too!

If I can move some gear I no longer use, I'll likely be back. I have an MB2 5 string but the 35" scale is more of a challenge than I thought it would be.

Yes it is..Same as fingerboard. Macassar ebony.

A word of support for the seller and future happy buyer: I own a Rob Allen Mouse and two MB2s. They are fabulous basses that can be played in a variety of settings. I played mine for years in a rocking church band as well as a jazz group. Everybody loves the sound and feel of these instruments. Rob Allen is a top luthier, known for his integrity and excellence. He's currently retired or semi-retired, so that makes any bass that he personally built extra special. What I like about the look of this bass is that it is beautiful, warm and not overstated. Look at the Macassar Ebony neck... It's really nice! These basses are super light in weight and have great tone. $2,600 is a very reasonable price. I don't know the seller, so I hope he doesn't mind me chiming in. I do know these basses and they are awesome!

How is this MB-2 still here? This is a gorgeous RA example and a fair price. If I didn't already have 2 of these (including one of the same Walnut & Macassar Ebony spec), I'd jump on this one.

Thanks you forumites for your comments of support with the sale of this wonderful Rob Allen! I am the original owner, and I know how fully well this bass has served me over the years. I'm kinda surprised its still here too, but I believe that at the right time, the right person will feel that this bass is for them..and seal the deal. Bumped and ready to go!
