I have this Mercalli FM that plays great and sounds great. It has some mods and dings that don't affect playability or sound. I removed the paint under the pickguard holes in the original pictures. No issues there. This bass plays so well, and I had a great time recording with it using flats. It currently has some Dean Markley Blue Steels on it. Sounds Great! I played this bass with flats on this recording here.
The Mods:
The good:
Hipshot ultralight Lollipop tuners!
The knobs hold the Reverend Pickguard in place, so no holes were drilled. You can go either way with it. On/Off
The Bad:
I am not sure why this was done, but the FM knobs are in a different place than the ones with a pickguard. I easily removed the paint from the original pictures. Someone drilled new holes in the pickguard where the FM knobs are located.
It's a player's bass that plays great. 8.8. lbs
It comes with a budget Ibanez gig bag, but it will be packed well. We can split shipping.
