I bought this head as a backup to my well-loved 700RB-II, and the MB800 quickly won me over with its unbeatable blend of portability and power.
The 700RB is my "ride or die" amp, but I wanted a backup that would give me a different color to paint with -- and today I found a Mesa Subway head that ticks a lot of the boxes that the MB800 does (except gig-bag portability) while providing some more traditional tonal options.
The MB800 is roughly the size of 2 paperback novels, and weighs just under 5 lbs. That tiny package delivers over 560 watts into 8 ohms, and over 800 watts into 4 ohms. Bass Gear magazine verified burst power of over 1000 watts!

As their review stated, this is a bright, aggressive, detailed sounding amp - the EQ is flexible enough to let you dial things back quite a bit, but the fundamental nature of the amp is big and bold sounding.
The power is no joke - I use a lot of stomp boxes, so I didn't need Gain B for an alternate tone...where I did find it handy was using Level B to rein-in the crazy output of this amp!
This amp is in great shape - I've circled the most notable scratches in the pics, but there's nothing major, and all jacks and knobs function properly. Serial number is visible in-person, but I obscured it in my pictures.
Will ship with the footswitch (pictured) and a power cable.
PayPal and Zelle welcome.
Shipping negotiable - but probably not bad because of the small size and weight.
