This bass has had a bit of journey. It began life as this bass. It sounded amazing, but I did not love the Daphne Blue finish, so I had it refinished by Fbass at the Fbass shop in Hamilton, Ontario. They routed it to accept a P-bass pickup at the same time, and shaved the neck into the current VF profile which was a little less chunky than the neck was originally.
Still sounds amazing. It's in great shape, with just a little bit of swirling on the back from regular use. The MM pickup provides a lot of bite, which the hum canceling J pickup complements by adding a lot of roundness. With the P-pickup installed and both pickups dimed, you get a massive humbucker sound.
