I am selling my Maruszczyk Elwood Absolution 5 Turquoise gloss in mint condition. No marks, scratches, scuffs, etc.. and plays perfectly. I own a total of 5 Maruszczyk basses (one of them is a Mensinger, Joker 32” scale, however) and a real fan of the extreme quality craftsmanship. I have decided to sell this one so that I can order another custom made 5 string in a different finish (I own too many blue and teal colored basses ) with a couple different options.
This bass has a slim fast playing neck that seems to measure around 16mm-17mm spacing on the neck, not at the bridge. (I am not good at measuring mm with a tape measure, so I included a photo). The Nordstrand pickups are killer and the preamp was upgraded to an Audere 4 band eq. (Vol, blend, low mid, high mid, treble/bass concentric)
The striking color with great ash grain is offset by the custom mother-of-pearl binding that extends around the body, the neck and the headstock. Hip shot lightweight tuners so that the bass balances perfectly with NO neck dive. Everything is like new and could probably be sold as a new instrument.
