Totally agree! I visited Ray's shop a couple of times when he was based in my home town of Syracuse NY. He truly is the real deal. All of the basses he had at the shop sounded amazing.

Here they are, I am the second and 4th owner. The Bass was made by Ray as a Music Man with an MM Delano pickup. The first owner have it like that for a year then decided to modify it to a MM/J. So the bass was sent back to Ray, who made the routing and by owner’s request swap the MM Delano to Bartolini and add the Bartolini Jazz. When I bought the bass came without the pick guard. The first owner never founded, so I asked Ray for the pick guard drawing and he sent it to me. Then Peter Hanewinckel designed the pick guard based on the drawing. I love the selection of the veneer. Then I traded the bass but asked the new owner to notify me if he decided to sale it. Two years ago he did and I retrieved the bass. Super punchy with a piano like definition.
