This is hands-down my favorite Alembic bass. While it’s stunning in its playability and craftsmanship, it also has a subtlety that is lacking in some Alembics. Even more important is the anniversary electronics package that is in this. It’s the perfect blend of simplicity and functionality. The last photo below has a diagram showing what the controls are. Here is a link to and explanation of the controls from Mica at Alembic:

This one was made in 2002 and is in excellent condition. Includes it’s original HSC. It’s freshly strung up with a set of Galli nickel round wounds.

This beautiful bass weighs in at exactly 9 pounds and balances perfectly on the strap. Yet another reason I love this Alembic

The knobs pictured are a really cool custom set of knobs with an inlaid mother of pearl pattern on them. I will include the original knobs in case they are more to your taste.

This is a wonderful instrument. Really nothing like it! New these run 16k so I have it priced less than half of new.

wow! what a nice bass. Love it. Are those series 1 electronics? Good video demo. Does the bridge pickup sounds so much thinner or is that because of the filter and Q settings. Why are you selling this beauty if I may ask?

Hello there

Was actually going to shoot another demo today that’s shorter and simpler but glad you found that one useful.

The bridge pickup soloed is much thinner. It blends well with the neck pickup with tons of tonal options though.

In the control cavity each pickup has a trim pot that adjusts the total output. I have the neck pickup adjusted higher as I like to hear more of that pickup. Before shooting another video I’ll even the two trim pots out so you can hear a more accurate representation of their outputs.

Only selling doe to finances. My finding source for this bass didn’t work out as planned.

Oh yes, they are anniversary electronics, not the Series 1. Main difference is the anniversary electronics have a one position Q switch and the Series a three which provides different leveles of boost. Anniversary does not require an external power source either.

Wondering how you could sell this and find a better bass. This bass is crazy awesome, but it is worth thousands of dollars. Lot of $$$$$. It would probably never leave my studio. I would be afraid some one would beat me up and take it during a gig. This is the bass that you load up your stuff quickly and get home safe quickly!

I’ve used it a few gigs now. I always keep a close eye on my gear, so it doesn’t worry me to bring this bass out.

It’s a great bass for sure, but there are times my Hofner or one of my My Fenders are better suited for the job.I’m glad I pulled it off the market and decided to keep it though.

Good for you! I have 3 different Jazz basses and I rotate them every day to the next instrument until I die, or get another bass! Maybe I will go that route, sounds more fun.

Don’t get me wrong - I love this bass BUT more money does not necessarily mean better bass.
