Selling my 1983 Olympic series 1, with
model name: Series I
Quilted Maple top and back with Mahogany body . 5-piece Maple and Purple Heart neck. With Ebony fingerboard. Does have an extra dead knob that hides a hole.
Comes with hard case (a little beaten up tho but still works). Comes with DS 5 power supply.
Shipped to the continental USA only. Asking $6500 .

David, what is the deal with that "dead" switch? curious about the electronics/wiring etc.

Yes, so in moving the pick up, selector switch from the front to the back, the technician put it in the middle, blocking the four pick up balance/gain dals. He then had to move it, and had to fill that spot up. So I requested that he place a knob there so that it looks normal. Everything works perfectly now as it did before, but now we have access again to be able to adjust the different settings for the pick ups.

this is a great bass. and prob easier to play if you are a smaller guy than your 6-string Smith :)

Very true. I have become less of a 6 string guy now, more a 5 string player .
