Now $425 Up for grabs is my G&L M2000 in excellent condition. Plays great, sounds huge. Maple fingerboard. Selling as it just sits here unplayed for long stretches of time and it should be played. But with confidence that it will arrive safe and sound. Cheers

Sorry, at this time, I'm just a lurker—haven't played for quite a while and won't have time for it in the near future. She needs to be played. And my comment was meant more like a compliment. But if/when I do return to active playing, M2000/2500 will be on my top list.

This is indeed getting ridiculous. That said, just yesterday I was researching the shipping rates from Canada. Ouch. Currently, as a noodler, not a player, there's no way I can afford shipping the thing to where I live. Seems like you can only get reasonable rates to the US. But then this forum is mostly US-centric, so this should have gone long ago anyway. I even posted a heads-up in the G&L club some time ago.

I am in Canada (BC) so theoretically, the shipping wouldn't be too bad for me...

I have heard almost nothing but good about these G & L Tributes, and I'd really love a black n' maple bass. So what's stopping me, you ask? Well...years ago I actually did get to spend a few minutes noodling around on an M-2000, and I remember the neck being somewhat uncomfortable for me...D'OH!! :facepalm: - And I don't think I am alone in that it basically starts with the neck...if that's not working out, then nothing else about the bass matters...:unsure:

The neck size is obviously important and with this bass it isnt an issue to me. I dont have larger hands and everyone is different on their preferences and comfort. I have owned 2 or 3 Geddy Lee jazzes and absolutely hated the neck. This M2000 is not jazz nor P bass size, i would put it somewhere between a chunky p and a jazz . i just brought it out of hiding as we speak and with the TI flat wounds on it, it plays very nicely and sounds HUGE with everything set flat!! The shipping cost is out of control in every way imaginable especially for me to the south west USA but will work with purchaser on that ...
