Up for sale is a recently acquired by me 1977-78 (pots date to 1976).Olympic White Precision Bass in ultra clean, unmolested condition. It’s a lightweight, I estimate 7.5-8lbs. I’ll verify on a scale and update.

It’s just too nice for me to keep. 100% all there and original. Foam mute still intact on the bridge cover.

I purchased this from the second owner who bought it used from a Music Store in Maple Heights, Ohio back in 1981. I have the original receipt.

Flat wounds maintained the appearance of zero to almost no fret wear on the beautifully figured and flamey maple neck. Little to no body finish yellowing that’s common on these. You can see very little variation on finish with pickguard removed. Polish swirls and a couple of very minor bumps and a flea bite or two keep this from being mint. It was played by the person I purchased it from for less than 6 months and then stored away until this week when he agreed to sell it to me.

Would prefer a local North East Ohio sale and transaction. Insured, professional shipping, if required is the responsibility of the purchaser. I am willing to meet within a reasonable 100 mile distance from Cleveland, Ohio.
No overseas.
Includes Original Fender Hard Case w/key. Latches are tight, no damage or wear whatsoever.

I’ve priced this according to my basic knowledge of having owned and played dozens of 1970’s era Precision Basses.

Have not seen a cleaner example since I bought my first Oly White 1976 Precision new.

This ones not a beast, it's a delicate flower! Ive own several 1970's P Basses and this one is exceptional. Weighing in at right around 8lbs its certainly a pleasure to play, too nice for me to keep, Id ruin it. I slapped on a new set of Flatwounds to replace the Original Fender factory strings and it sings. I have a 1975 Precision that has some bumps and bruises that im more comfortable playing. If you know of anyone with a Black, Maple neck Precision made before 1976 logo transition send them my way, I might trade them for it. If you're ever in Lorain County you're welcome to take her for a spin.
